The leadership team at The Watches of Switzerland Group brings together a wealth of deep sector knowledge, luxury market experience and functional expertise gained in global multinational organisations.

Led by CEO Brian Duffy, the current senior management team have been instrumental in driving growth in the UK, expanding into the US market and enhancing the Group’s relationships with all of the major watch and jewellery brands.

Brian Duffy

Chief Executive Officer

Brian joined the company in 2014 with over 25 years of experience in CEO roles.

Under his leadership, the Group’s turnover has doubled in size through both organic growth and acquisition. Over the last 4 years the company has transformed from a UK based bricks and mortar organisation into an International luxury business with an established online presence and an expanding footprint in the US and travel retail sector.

Having spent 10 years based in Geneva as President, EMEA for Ralph Lauren, Brian’s luxury credentials are well established. A qualified Accountant, he previously held senior roles at Polaroid, Sara Lee Corporation and KPMG.

Anders Romberg

Chief Financial Officer

Anders joined the company in 2014 from Ralph Lauren where he was COO for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Previously he had held the roles of CFO and then COO for Ralph Lauren based in its Geneva EMEA HQ. A seasoned International CFO, Anders began his career at Gillette where he held a variety of roles in a number of jurisdictions.

During his time at The Watches of Switzerland Group, the company has successfully acquired and integrated several businesses including The WATCHshop online platform in the UK and Mayors in the USA.

Anders has responsibility for IT, Logistics and Property as well as the Finance function.

Tony Broderick

Chief Operating Officer

With over 38 years of experience in the watch and jewellery business, Tony has been with the company throughout his career. A true sector specialist, Tony was appointed COO in 2008 having previously been Sales Director and Group Operations Director of Goldsmiths.

With deep, longstanding relationships with all of our brand partners, Tony led the development of the iconic Watches of Switzerland flagship showroom on 155, Regents Street and recently spent several months in Florida overseeing the integration of the Mayors and Wynn businesses to the group.

Tony has responsibility for Watches of Switzerland in the UK and US; Mayors; E Commerce, Group Operations and Property Development

Craig Bolton

Executive Director - Mappin & Webb and Goldsmiths

Craig joined the company 13 years ago and held a number of senior retail positions within Goldsmiths before being appointed Executive Director Goldsmiths in 2010. In 2016 Craig took additional responsibility for Mappin & Webb.

Over the past few years Craig has successfully led the Goldsmiths brand into a luxury positioning within the marketplace and was responsible for the relaunch of the Mappin & Webb brand in 2016, reinforcing the brand’s credentials as Royal Warrant Holders of Jewellers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths to Her Majesty The Queen and as Silversmiths to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

Previously Craig held senior Regional roles in the leisure, hospitality and retail sector in organisations such as Whitbread and Grenada.

David Hurley

Executive Vice President, USA

David joined the company from Ralph Lauren 3 years ago as Business Development Director.

Since then David has identified and delivered a number of major growth projects such as the strategic development of Travel Retail, the acquisition of Mayors in Florida and the Wynn showrooms in Las Vegas and the forthcoming move of Watches of Switzerland to New York with the opening of boutiques in Soho and Hudson Yard.

David has recently been appointed as Executive Vice President USA and is based in the Group’s US headquarters in Fort Lauderdale.

After starting his career in logistics, David spent 13 years at Ralph Lauren in a number of senior roles in Europe and the US.

Robin Phillips

CEO Watchshop

Robin has recently joined the Group as CEO WATCHshop with a mandate for growth.

A CFO by background, in the last 10 years Robin has built an impressive digital and retail career having held the roles of Omnichannel Director at Boots and director of E Commerce at Waitrose. Robin also spent several years at the John Lewis Partnership in Business Development roles.

Most recently Robin sat on the Board of CINVEN owned Kurt Geiger where he was Director of Digital.

Ruth Benford

Executive Director Marketing

With over 15 years senior management experience in retail and marketing roles, Ruth joined the company 13 years ago and has developed significant and specialised knowledge of the luxury watch and jewellery market.

Appointed Executive Director in 2010, Ruth drives the marketing strategy across the Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb, Mayors and Watches of Switzerland brands and works closely with our key brand partners to create bespoke marketing campaigns. Recent significant focus has been on the development of CRM initiatives and the company’s Digital Marketing approach.

Ruth previously held positions in Sainsbury and Homebase.

Jim Crichton

Executive Director Buying & Merchandise

With a background in Merchandising, Jim has over 25 years’ experience in the watch and jewellery industry.

Jim joined the company 10 years ago and was appointed Executive Director in 2010. Owning the product and range selection across Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb, Mayors and Watches of Switzerland, Jim has been responsible for developing the watch strategy to be more aligned with the luxury consumer whilst redefining the jewellery proposition to reflect a more premium market.

Jim’s experience spans a number of retail multiples and includes 16 years as Merchandising Director of Signet Group.

Nikki Zamblera

Executive Director HR

Nikki has a wide range of experience gained in International, private equity backed and PLC organisations. She joined the company recently from Debenhams where she had been Executive Director HR for 13 years. Nikki was part of the PE takeover and subsequent IPO.

Previously Nikki was Vice President HR for Ralph Lauren Europe and Vice President HR International for Revlon International. She started her career in Selfridges.

Nikki is responsible for the company’s people related policies and initiatives.
